Ok, Michelle. I guess you haven't heard of the Eurovision Song contest. It has been going on now for about 35 to 40 years. Each year a song is chosen by each Europen country to represent their country in the Eurovision song contest. The event is held by which ever country won it the previous year. It is massive in Europe. Millions of people watch it live. The songs are usually horrendous and we Brits kind of take the piss out of it...especially our dear commentator Terry Wogan. All the other countries take it really seriously! Until a few years ago it was rather straight forward. But now we have so many countries that are part of the EU there are semi finals and such so not every country gets to participate in the main event! For the last 2 years now, because of Ulrika being around and loving it we have taken on a tradition of having a party to watch and celebrate it.
Hope this explains it!
